About the Author
Dan Caddy is a former marketing professional and veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is the founder of the Awesome Sh*t My Drill Sergeant Said Facebook page. The Facebook page now has more than ten individuals on staff, including many current and former drill sergeants. Dan is the president and founder of Battle in Distress Inc., a nonprofit devoted to helping service members in crisis. He lives in Vermont and continues to serve in the military.

By Robert Steven Thomas I wouldn't expect this book to be nominated or win literary awards any time soon ... but, if you ever served in any branch of the military .... or just appreciate an "earthy" sense of humor this book is definitely for you. Absolutely, stark-ragingly, side-splitting funny from start to finish. WARNING: This book is not intended for bible-thumpers or the politically correct.

Dan Caddy has done a great job collecting some of the wittiest sayings of US Army Drill Sergeants. Those of us who have passed through the basic training centers of the US Army will certainly get a hearty laugh reading time honored colloquialisms and modern changes to the vernacular of the Army's verbal ninja's. For the civilian, you can get a view into what drill sergeants have to come up with to verbally correct the citizen transforming into a soldier. Now eat concrete, and buy this book.

By Granny Rachel I just got my copy of this delightful book today and finished it. Before reading it, I strongly advise the reader to empty his bladder, wear Depends, and get an oxygen tank ready. I laughed so hard I was making no noise, sprained three ribs, and almost passed out from lack of air. This is seriously funny stuff. ASMDSS has been one of my favourite Facebook pages for some time now, and having this compilation is great. Thanks for writing it!
