4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Great way of learning all of the features in Acrobat DC By Russ The classroom in a book method of teaching means there are examples to follow (using downloadable source files) so that each element and feature of Adobe Acrobat is not only discussed but the features are learned by following examples within the book. This is a far better way of learning than by just reading alone. The level of terminology used will not baffle the inexperienced, or patronise the experienced. The rise of PDF files means Adobe Acrobat has become the de facto standard for PDF files, and the latest version Adobe Acrobat DC has many new enhancements that can be overlooked. These extra features make handling and using PDF documents easier and leads to an increased efficient workflow. The Adobe Acrobat DC Classroom in a Book is aimed at users who have never used Acrobat before through to advanced users who want to learn about the new features, and covers all the features of Adobe Acrobat DC comprehensively. There are also a lot of hints and tips along the way that will help you increase your productivity!Users are taken through the simple tasks of what Adobe Acrobat DC is, how PDF files can be created, how PDF files can be enhanced for the modern digital web age to ensure your documents stand apart from others, using Adobe Acrobat DC in an approval process, how to create and track forms, automating Adobe Acrobat DC, right through to how to create files for professional printing with Adobe Acrobat DCThe topics covered are thorough, and well documented with timescales for each lesson so that you can ensure you have the time available to complete each lesson without having to rush. The lessons help you to create a professional document step by step, by modifying the downloaded supporting files. This is a really good way to demonstrate how existing documents can be enhanced with Adobe Acrobat DC, and ensures you are confident with the method of working and use of the required tools.I have also found the layout of the book is very good for refreshing myself with certain features, and learning the new elements that I am interested in rather than having to wade through each lesson in turn. The notes and tips at the side of the pages ensure that you do not miss any important details or information.I found having read and completed the examples in the book I fully understand Adobe Acrobat DC to a level where I can take my PDF documents to the next level with presentation, security, and being able to incorporate PDF documents within my existing workflow to ensure my Microsoft Office documents can be easily created as PDF documents meaning they are smaller in size and more secure. I am also more conversant with forms within Adobe Acrobat DC, and have knowledge of ‘Actions’ within Adobe Acrobat DC so that repetitive tasks can be automated to further improve my workflow.Adobe Acrobat DC is a very powerful tool that some users do not fully understand, and by reading and learning from this Classroom in a book you will have the skills and knowledge to improve your PDF experiences and prove to others they your PDF documents are a cut above the rest. You will fully understand the everyday elements of Adobe Acrobat and have the knowledge of the power and extra functions that Adobe Acrobat DC has to enable your files to be used within a collaborative environment so that you can fully exploit the power and potential of Adobe Acrobat DC.
