Not for exerc. beginners By BronxLens First, per the books own statement (p.4), "tabata style training is an advanced method of working out." so if you are a beginner, please consider starting with anther exercuse program/book.Now, if you are experienced with how exercises are done, such as Bear Crawls, Burpees, etc., then the book may be a good reference. But if you are new to them, this book is not such a good choice.The lack of photos or illustrations showing how to do the exercises properly is a major miss of this book. The book emphasizes (p.4) that "The importance of form is paramount-not just in terms of safety, but in terms of your fitness results." Without the aforementioned photos/illustrations, more than half the book's efficacy is lost.Note that while the book is 220 pages, pages 184 to 215 are repeated blank forms of the one seen at the top of page 183 (see photo).

Fantastic book to guide you through quick, intense workouts that you can do anywhere By Leahwawro I love this book!My biggest challenge with exercise is finding the time to do it, but this book has gotten rid of even that excuse. The workouts are quick and intense, and leave me feeling like I've had a great workout without being completely drained. I've found that they're a great way to start the morning without having to wake up too much earlier than I'd like.The book gives you a huge range of options of types of exercises--you could go a very long time without doing the same workout twice. I also like that there are plenty of exercises that don't require kettlebells or other tools-- you can use the book to guide your workout in a fully kitted-out gym, but it works equally well in a hotel room when you're on the road.I find the written descriptions very clear and precise--and I actually prefer reading a description of the activity to trying to follow along with videos, which I've done in the past and find distracting.Can't recommend it enough!

By charlotte I love HIIT workouts but always struggle when I get to the gym because I waste time trying to come up with a routine. This book is so handy and has a great combo of strength and cardio HIIT exercises. Perfect for someone trying to get to the next level in their fitness routine.
