3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. It was good but... By Carol I have read and loved all of the watcher books and the redemption series. I was excited when this one came out. Unfortunately, this one seemed a little "flat" to me compared to the others. It just felt like something was missing. The storyline was good and interesting but the way it ended was more the end of a chapter than the end of a book. As much as I love her writing, this was kind of a let down.

West2 August 2015Following my mind to read this series after (Aiden's Story) in secession of The Watcher Trilogy, Watcher Chronicles and Caylin's Story, was spot on. It absolutely keeps the story going!!! Being back with Jess, Mason and the Vessels as they travel back to the alternate earth that Mason and Jess traveled to back in the Watcher Chronicles series was exciting!!!This time not only does Jess and Mason have the vessels, but they end up with a surprise companion to journey along with them. The twist and turns of what they're faced with upon their return takes you through excitement, surprises and a few close calls for each other them right off the bat.As they try to stop the alternate earth princes of hell from breaking anymore of the seals, that will either bring this alternate earth to the brink of extinction or worse start the apocalypse. Can they do it? Were they truly sent to stop it, or to learn what's needed to take back the knowledge they discover home?I just can't get enough of this continuing saga. I was extremely happy that I was able to be back with Jess, Mason and the vessels!!! I've truly grown to love and care for these characters!!! Author S.J. West weaves her literary web as she takes you through an amazing ride!!! I'm off to read book 2 in this series, so far 12 to count!!! A definite 5 Star Read and Awesome Collection of Series!!!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. New Adventures, Same People we Love! Great New Series but SJ West. By TFig1113 I'm so happy you wrote this new series SJ West. There were a lot of questions from the Redemption Series that I had and I felt bad that there was such a huge jump in time that I had missed a lot of what happened to the characters I've come to love. BUT NO! Here we are, back in the here and now with Jess and Mason again. LOVE Them to Death. They are such a great couple and I can't get enough of them. Now they are all together again and fighting evil on the alternate earth. Such excitement and the story lines that are coming off of this are great. I can't wait to read the next book. I already have it bought, just have to dive in! Thank You again SJ West for bringing back this 'Blast from the Past.: LOLJust be sure that you read these book in the order Ms. West has written them or you will be confused.
