From the Author The idea for this story came from a joke I made on Facebook to try to cheer up a friend retaking the bar. Since it was Friday the 13th and I have a black cat, both supposedly bad luck, I joked my black cat was unlucky for everyone but me because he could scoop luck off people and give it to me, and that'd I'd give it to her as a favor. The story grew from there.

Extrapolating a bit: an evolving Evie Jones series seem to be a very good material for a movie producer who is on a lookout for original plots. Especially since the characters, like a young lawyer in the middle of the story, is not playing a stereotypical attorney role.Witchcraft is shown as a mature occupation that reached, like other trades, a self-regulating stage. This naturally leads to the brewing rebellious movements within the occupational ranks. The latter should resonate with the readers facing themselves enough glass walls and ceilings to penetrate.
