When they meet at a wedding for his friend and her sister there is a lot of chemistry. She is younger than him and in collage. She thinks that he simply rejects her, but she knows he is sexually attracted to her, but she will not accept a sex only relation. He is determined not to get involved because humans killed his parents. Yvette has no idea that the guys are shifters.When Yvette is kidnapped by a dangerous pack of wolf shifters, Terrance goes to rescue her because he was guarding her when she was taken. He realizes that his bear sees her as their mate, but he cant trust humans. After he rescues her, by killing the wolves, he had to shift. Yvette is not sure what she saw, animals or men. She actually helped kill one, which helped save him. They are attacked again but this time she see him change. Once they are safe again he is worried she will be afraid or find him repulsive, but to his surprise she only want him more. The sexual tension is so great they cant resist each other. They make love and it is not until after that he realize that she was a virgin. He is sent away on another case because of his inability to accept her as his mate. Yvette is heart broken but she still want him. While he is away she meets with her sister and tells her she knows that Terrance and her brother-in-law are bears. She tells her about having sex with Terrance and that she is pregnant. When his boss Bear finds out he calls Terrance back to ask him to explain what happened and what he plan to do. The baby (cub) will need him to guide him/her with shifting. Terrance believes that Yvette will just give him the baby because he thinks being human she cant possibly want or love a shifter child. He is worng on all accounts. She refuses and tells him they both will love and raise this child. He trys to offer her marriage but she refuse because he is doing this only as a way to get the baby. She ask that he date her, she knows she loves him. While at a dinner with her parents, they tell them about the pregnancy and his desire to marry her. They are not happy. Terrance takes her for a drive so he can shift so he can see if she can accept him. He is surprised when she seduces him and is not at all afraid of his bear. When they return home he realized too late that there are wolves in the house. Her parents are tied up, she is taken again, but the wolves realize that they have the wrong sister. He is sure that he may not be able to save them this time. What choice does he have but to shift, now her parents will know what he is and he is sure they will be like the humans that killed his parents. If they survive, will he trust and love her, will her family accept him and his shifter child? This book has so much drama, intrigue, mystery and hot sex. Reading it will be a pleasure, you will want to read the others in the series.

I like the character development with how Terrance overcame is panic disorder with humans. I wonder if they have psychologists in the shifter world? Anyway, Yvette and Terrance are great separately; however, together they are dynamic. You will want to read this steamy shifter story because it really is good.
