Highly recommended for ESL teachers and SOME students By The Great Cham As an adult ESL teacher, I found this book a delightful and amusing take on ESL grammar and vocabulary. It's true, some of the illustrations are "pornographic," as another reviewer put it, and there's some dark humor in the book, so some of it would not be appropriate for K-12 students or more conservative adult students. But no intelligent teacher would just give a book like this to students. Rather, the best approach, I think, is to select some of the very funny examples and illustrations to show to students; they will be more memorable than the run-of-the-mill textbook examples and therefore more helpful in learning the language. As for the reviewer who claimed that there are grammatical errors, I'd like to know what he or she is talking about. As far as I can tell, the author is accurate and admirably clear in her explanations of the finer points of English.
