4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. A Fast Read By Sparta Nice cover art, which caught my eye enough to read the story. However, as we all know, don't judge a book by its cover. The story is your straight forward handsome alien grabs girl for the good of his people. I enjoyed the short story but their are a few other authors using this plot line that do it better. On my Kindle the formatting was more like text for poetry, lots of air and few words on a page, which was really distracting to me. So, for a Kindle Unlimited read, it was a fun quick tale. If I had to "buy it" rather than "borrow" it, I'd have to say it didn't have that much value to me.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Exciting! By Amazon Customer Blanc drew me into her story and refused to let me go. Her beautiful writing brought the characters and setting to life. I had never heard of this author before but am so happy that I gave her a chance. With a detailed and masterly crafted world, she really made me feel as though it existed and kept me entertained throughout as I learned more about Darys and his race.Jenna, a young barista whose intelligence always left her feeling out of place with her peers, meets a mysterious stranger at work one day. She wonders if she has finally met someone she can relate to. Little does she know that he has come on a mission to save what’s left of his people.Despite the world standing between them, Jenna and Darys find themselves tangled in a romance that could decide much more than she would ever expect. I love how easily Blanc drew me into the relationship and the politics at play in her book. I couldn’t get enough of the characters and hope to read more by this author.
