Empty Bodies is a post-apocalyptic zombie series that starts right as the inciting incident has happened. It's very fast-paced, which many readers have commented that they love. Many have even told me that they read it in one sitting. The first book focuses on three characters, written in a style similar to A Song of Fire and Ice, where each chapter tells the story of one of the characters, making it easy for the reader to follow along, even though it is jumping back and forth between characters in different parts of the country. What separates Empty Bodies from other zombie books? I don't want to give anything away, but the inciting incident as to what sparked thousands of people to turn into zombies (or Empties as they are called in the books), is a different twist on zombies from anything that I've seen in other books or movies. Readers have found it to be very refreshing. What inspired the story? Other than my love for The Walking Dead and the George Romero zombie films, the idea was sparked by two employees at my day job who like to sleep in one of our company's offices on their lunch break. We work in a 50,000 square foot industrial warehouse, and one day I just said to myself, 'I wonder what would happen if he woke up and the rest of us had turned into zombies.' And thus, Empty Bodies was born. What can readers expect out of reading the Empty Bodies series? I feel like I've written characters that you can either root for or hate, depending on which character we are talking about. The settings are all places I'm very familiar with, so they should feel very real. The action started out fast and did not let up. The characters were all well written, some you loved and some you hated. The ending twist I loved, which is the reason I am looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend you read this story, you'll be waiting along with me for the next one.Book two: The second book in Zach Bohannon's Empty Bodies is as just as good as the first. I liked the characters, and I disagree with one reviewer saying the villain being typical, David Ellis is a complete prick, and I hate him. Only a few writers have made me actually hate a character, and Mr. Bohannon has pulled that off. I also like and relate to many of the main characters as well. As for the ending, I thought it was great, and it left me ready for the third installment to come out, all I can say is hurry it up, and read this book you will not be disappointedBook three: Empty Bodies 3: Deliverance I think is the best novel in the series so far. I won't reveal any details, but the Mr. Bohannon's take on the reason behind the outbreak is quite unique, and something I've never thought about causing an outbreak. The action comes fast, and the story's conclusion is good and satisfying. So if you like a good zombie story, read this book, and all those before it, you won't be sorry.Get all three on one place! Do it now, you will not be disappointed.

If I'm being 100% honest the first half of book 1 throws the reader into the post-apocalyptic world slightly before the reader might be ready. I guess, I mean that the plot is running at full speed before the reader fully knows what is going on--and I can see how some readers would want a bit more lead-in. For me, it read a lot like a movie script--which isn't really a bad thing.That being said, book 1 was the author's first book published--and you can see that not only does he take feedback that people post online, but he also works hard to change the things we're struggling with as readers. The second book truly showcases how Zach Bohannon grew as an author, and the books really start to take shape.If the first book was an uncut diamond, the following titles certainly start to shine as you'd expect. They are fun reads, and each subsequent book in the series comes out better than the one before it. If you like zombie novels at all, you'll definitely enjoy reading these.

Watts Bohannon has a smooth flowing series bundle for you here. His is not just another "Zombie tale," but a character driven horror narrative which will keep you looking up from your kindle at every creak your house makes while you read it. Zach brings all of the characters together in the first Empty Bodies book and soon provides the explosive charge to send them all plunging off into directions with full out and head-on speed, where all around them the "Empties" await to thwart their every attempt to even catch their breath during this roller coaster of a journey. You can count on not getting any time to breathe out in rest as Zach gathers up his characters and keeps them, and the reader, up all night with the madness of an undead world cutting at their heels. With undead, mindless "Empty Bodies" on the attack at all times, whether you love zombies, or hate zombies, you will still be taken away along with the confused survivors into the dystopian world Bohannon unravels throughout this quick moving series.

Lady Claire is a fascinating woman who overcomes her upbringing, financial disaster and social restraints to find her own form of independence using the powers of her intellect and inventiveness.I could not put this down once I had started it. The action keeps moving, the dialogue is sharp and enjoyable (I kept laughing out loud at Lady Claire's arguments) and Adina's Victorian London is rich and well made.My only regret is that I now have to wait for the next installation in the series.

Couldn't Inhale 2nd installment fast enough By Debra Roberts Read the first book and upon finishing the last word immediately switched to shop Kindle store and got this second book. These books are everything that's right about steampunk: fiesty, smart, independent [in this case female] main character, dire circumstances overcome by pluck, courageous actions backed with cleverness and a strong moral compass. The entire cast of characters are richly drawn and have individual voices. Great series. Only downside is we now have to wait for the third installment in what I hope is a long-lived series.

But it offers as the perfect introduction to Allison's other works. A handful of stories to keep you laughing for a little while, and with the book costing nothing, there's little excuse to pass up a good preview. Like an appetizer, it'll satisfy your interest while leaving you wanting for more. It's very much worth the time it'll take to flip through the stories. And even better, most of what's in this book are unique to it. So you're not wasting your time even if you've read either of her other books. For what it is, it's worth a Five-Star rating, hands down.

It's lucky that I didn't read this before writing my books. I would have given up writing and taken up something easier like negotiating peace in the Middle East or taste-testing Pufferfish​ or something.There aren't many books that make me laugh out loud or snort tea out of my nose. This is why I read in bed with a cup of tea to hand. This morning while I wash my bedclothes, I'll be ordering another of Allison's books. Until I read this, I could count the authors I follow on Amazon on one hand. Now, on the other hand, there's Allison Hawn.I'm a very fast reader, so write faster, please.

Each chapter is devoted to one particular topic, and each chapter is short enough to read in one sitting, full of scientific facts and sly allusions to The Big Bang Theory. This is an enjoyable read, explaining some of the finer points of serious science (like the slit experiments) in the show as well as some of the sillier things (like the fizzability of Mentos). Some of the drawings are nicely done, others don't elucidate much. The book lacks an index, which is sad. Still, I learned some things and had a good time doing it.

To all of you complaining about it I would say that the greater the information you have before you take the examen, the better you will be prepared.

It has especially helped when I have to study some cases can become vital in such guides. You can cope by sections situations that seem more complicated at first, but gradually through this guide, you can use the time to purchase that does not have any kind of problem.

About the Author

Kevin Bolger, an elementary reading specialist who has taught primary and beginner readers for more than fifteen years, is the author of Zombiekins, Sir Fartsalot Hunts the Booger, and the two previous books in this beginner reader series, Gran on a Fan and Lazy Bear, Crazy Bear. He lives in Ottawa, Canada.

Ben Hodson is an award-winning illustrator of more than twenty children's books, including Gran on a Fan and Lazy Bear, Crazy Bear. He lives and works in Peterborough, Canada.

I really like the unique idea of using comics to teach kids about the vowel sounds. The mini-stories in the books are hilarious and crazy – in a good way, of course! My favorite(s) is in the Gran on a Fan book. Nell falls into a well early on, and nobody gets her out. The last few pages of the book? The return of Nell! I laughed out loud when I read that. Mr. Hodson’s illustrations are great attributes to the story, putting even more humor into the book. The cartoon feel will make kids smile. I can promise you that! I think that this book series will be a huge hit with kids. It’s perfect for reluctant readers, and for bedtimes, you just read one comic per night!*NOTE* I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Gordon Despite the claims on the jacket, the book is riddled with awkward phonics, as in: Pop jogs off. “Stop that pop” say the cops. “Do not stop, Pop. Do not” say the tots.And do early readers really need stories about mobs, mob bosses, bombs, explosions, robberies and prisons.
