By JBC37 Clinical Chaplain Sanders has accumulated in this single, little volume, a most helpful collection of prayers and inspirational works in the faith traditions of every major world religion. This will undoubtedly be found most helpful in the interactions of professional chaplains and others offering psycho-spiritual support to those suffering through crisis whether in in hospitals or the other many settings in which the need arises.

And it is a gift to those who receive a chaplain's spiritual care. This handbook is an invaluable tool! It can assist any minister or layperson in accompanying people in need of spiritual care, regardless of faith or philosophy, with compassionate curiosity and cultural sensitivity. Providing spiritual care to patients in the hospital or hospice, I have returned to this handbook again and again. I frequently use it as a creative spiritual resource in traumatic end-of-life situations with people of all spiritual traditions or no acknowledged faith or philosophy at all. Having this handbook in my spiritual care toolbox is an asset and I highly recommend it. It is a pocket sized book chock full of useful information to be used at exactly the right time. I cannot speak highly enough about this gem.
