About the Author Annalisa Nash Fernandez is a nationally certified medical interpreter (CCHI) working in Spanish and Portuguese. She has a B.S. from Georgetown University, and is a candidate for a Master’s degree in Language, Literature, and Translation from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Her articles have appeared in print publications including Education Week. Annalisa lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

13 of 14 people found the following review helpful. Good resource, but many typos, and no articles. By K. Zevallos I bought this book to begin studying medical vocabulary. It is useful in the sense that it has a lot of necessary vocabulary, and that the vocabulary is organized into categories (cardiology, neurology, etc). However, there are no articles provided with the Spanish words, which although sometimes are obvious, are not always obvious. So I used wordreference.com and linguee.com to look up the articles. As I did, I realized that there were many typos in the book. Examples include "conduto lacrimal" instead of "conducto lacrimal", "cutterage" instead of "curettage," etc. There are also several words repeated on the next line. Not just another translation, but exactly the same word and translation. It appears that the book was poorly edited.I am uploading a few photos of some typos, found all within just 2 pages.So, a good resource, but be prepared to do a good deal of the work yourself.
